History

In 1972, the musician Jean-Claude Dubois opens a Studio in the center of Paris, on the Grande Armée Avenue. Given the success, the studios started expanding in 1978 through the "Palais des Congrès" in Paris, where it is built on a 760m2 area and divided into three recording and mixing studios. It quickly started being called "Studio du Palais," and became one of the biggest recording structures in France.

It is the first French studio to call on the designer Tom Hidley, unrivaled acoustics designer who will sign the most famous recording studios worldwide.

In 1987, already among the leading European studios, the Grand Army studio is ranked 7th best recording studio in the world by the AES (Audio Engineering Society) for its acoustic and technical performance.
